6.1         Absenteeism and Labour Turnover at 4-Digit of NIC 

Detailed statistics on employment and labour cost at 5-digit of NIC-1998 by States and Sectors have already been published in Table 3.6 of “Annual Survey of Industries, 2003-04, Vol. I, Statistics on Employment and Labour Cost”. Similar Table on absenteeism and labour turnover at 4-digit of NIC-1998 by States and Sectors has been presented in Table 6.1 for detailed analysis and application by the researchers and the policy planners. The Table presents detailed statistics on number of factories reporting directly employed workers, percentage of factories reporting absenteeism and labour turnover and percentage of absenteeism, accession and separation.
