B = All Lockouts in Central Sphere
Note : 1.
Information in respect of Other States / Union Territories is NIL
2.
The disputes shown in col. 2 are lockouts preceded /succeeded by strikes.
In a few cases, the two components of the work stoppages ( i.e. strike or
lockout) do not wholly fall in 2003 itself. For such cases, number of workers
involved ( in cols. 3&5) have been accounted for only in the component (i.e.
strike or lockout) which falls in 2003. Time loss in Cols. 4 & 6 relate to
2003 only.
3.
The figures in cols. 3 & 5 are not additive horizontally as this
addition will amount to over estimation.
