Notes :

             1. Sum of the rates of Fatal and Non-Fatal injuries gives the rate of total injuries.

               2. The number of injuries (fatal & non-fatal) have been worked out on the basis of notices of accidents whereas the incidence rate has been worked out on the basis of injuries reported in  annual returns received under the Factories Act, 1948.

               3.Incidence Rate = Total injuries divided by average daily employment per thousand

               4 Frequency rate = Total number of injuries divided by number of mandays worked in lacs
